오답 포인트 --> (A) 의미 연상 함정. how와 회사명만 듣고 영업시간을 묻는 것으로 착각을

유도하고 있다. (B) 발음/의미 연상 함정. how, system 두 단어를 중복해서 오답으로 유도하

I’ve been thinking about how to schedule my time this year in order to fit in that ski trip to Austria we want to take in December. I need about three months to finish writing my

Master’s thesis. I could do that now and that would mean finishing in early September. But, I need to get some work to earn money for the trip and I think that for someone like me

with a backhoe operator’s license but no other skills or experience, summer might be a better time to find something. So, I think I will put aside(미루다) the Master’s work for now then finish it in the fall and submit it just before we leave. MIDTOWN MAYHEM (혼란)

Traffic in the city center came to a standstill(정지, 잠깐 멈춤) at noon for three hours today following what started as a minor accident at the intersection of Elm and Foster. When a motorist swerved(방향을 바꾸다) to avoid hitting a dog his car crashed into a traffic signal pole, bending it out of shape and severing(자르다) wires. The result was that the entire traffic signal system was cut off. MISHAP(작은사고)  TIES UP DOWNTOWN 

There was chaos in the downtown area today when a lunch time accident

tied up traffic for around three hours. The troubles began when a

speeding truck entered the Elm-Foster intersection and hit a car from the

rear, driving it into a traffic signal pole, and disabling the entire city

traffic control system. Shopkeeper Albert Ames, whose bakery is right at

the corner, said the truck came to a stop right in the center of the

intersection, blocking traffic in all directions. According to Ames, who

has been at the same location for over forty years, the last time there was

as bad a traffic jam was in 1974 when a giant weather balloon fell from

the sky and landed on a dozen vehicles, including his own delivery van,

in exactly the same spot.
