    Read the descriptions of student's level


    Read the descriptions of student language proficiency, What level is being described? Match the description with the appropriate leve. 


    1. Beginner: Functions minimally, if at all, in English.Communicates mostly through gestures and a few isolate words. May not be literate.
      :
       (Hello, good bye, elementary, few words, communication little) 

    2. Post beginner: Functions is a very limited way in situations related to immediate needs; asks and responds to basic learned phrases spoken slowly and repeated often. Recognizes and writes letters and numbers and reads and understands common sight words.
      :(studied little and they forgot, studied 10 years ago) 

    3. High beginner: Functions with some difficulty in situations related to immediate needs; may have some simple oral communication abilities using basic learned phrases and sentences. Reads and writes simple phrases and basic personal information. 
      :
      struggle communication

    4. Lower intermediate: can satisfy basic survival needs and very routine social demands. Understands simple learned phrases easily and some new simple phrases containing familiar vocabulary, spoken slowly with frequent repetition. Can read and write simple material on familiar topics.

    5. Intermediate: Generally communicates effectively using complex sentence forms. Shows some sensitivity to using the language appropriately in everyday and /or specialized language situations.

    6. Upper/high intermediate: Has operational command of the language. Can speak with ease on most matters but still makes occasional errors in grammar or vocabulary which rarely inhibits communication.  Is generally able to vary language form to suit the situation.

    7. Advanced: Has near native fluency with occasional errors in grammar or vocabulary. Show ability to use the language in a variety of situations with a minimum of inaccuracies
