1. 명사: 셀수 있을까 없을까로 판단
1. 셀수 있는 명사
1. 단수
   이때, 단어의 첫번째 철자가 아니라 발음에 따라서 a 또는 an을 쓰는 것에 주의한다. 
   ex) Joseph teaches science at a university. [ju]는 자음으로 시작하므로 a를 붙인다.
   ex) Mr. Roberts is out, but he will return in an hour. [our]는 o로 시작하므로 an을 붙인다. 
2. 복수
   
   ex) A boy is standing by the window. 
   ex) I'm going to have an egg for breakfast.

   y-> ies	city-> cities                baby ->babies   예외) day ->days
   f-> ves	knife-> knives            wife ->wives    shelf ->shelves

   다음과 같은 명사들은 단수와 복수의 형태가 같다. 떼로 다니는 아이들, 너무 많아서 하나로 씀
   Look! some fish are swimming in the water. 
   Mr. Anderson has eight sheep and a horse on his farm.

   다음과 같이 두개의 부분이 모여 하나의 사물을 이루는 경우에는 항상 복수로 쓴다. 
   Pajamas, scissors, jeans, pants, glasses
   위의 명사들과 a pair of/ two pairs of를 함께 쓴다. 
   ex) I got a pair of pants for my birthday. 
   ex) I have two pairs of glasses. I use one pair at home and the other pair at work. 
   ex) a glass of water
   ex) two cans of soda. 
   
1. 셀수 없는 명사
   충고 조언 (advice) - a/an, -s를 붙일 수 없음 
   snow, sugar, air, time, news, money 등
   
   다음과 같이 셀수 없는 명사들은 단위를 나타내는 표현을 사용하여 수나 양을 말할 수 있다.
   ex) Can I have a glass of water?
   ex) I need two loaves of bread and a box of cereal.
