시제 일치의 예외

when(~할 때), after(~후에), before(~전에), as soon as(~하자마자), until(~할 때까지), if(~한다면) 등과 같이 시간이나 조건의 접속사가 쓰인 부사절에서는 미래의 일을 의미하더라도 항상 현재 시제를 사용합니다. 

The meeting will begin as soon as the governor arrives. 

주지사가 도착하는 즉시 회의가 시작될 것이다.                   as soon as the governor will arrive

The environment will suffer if they build the factory.

그들이 그 공장을 세운다면, 환경에 피해가 갈것이다.           if they will build they factory
